James E. Fanale, MD
Senior Vice President of System Development Jordan Hospital

Dr. James Fanale joined Jordan Hospital in September of 2008. Previously he was chief of geriatrics at Worcester Memorial Hospital for ten years. He maintains a clinical practice in Worcester to ensure the continuity and quality of care for a select number of patients.

In addition to leading several multi-specialty physician groups, Dr Fanale was senior vice president and chief medical officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts from 1999 to 2003, overseeing all clinical and administrative programs and managed care plan payer relationships.

As the chief operating officer at Mercy Medical Center from 2004 to 2007, Dr Fanale provided leadership over operations for the three-hospital Sisters of Providence Health System, which included acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities, as well as physician practices.

 

Nancy Boyer, RN, NP

A graduate of the University of Rochester, Nurse Practitioner program, Mrs. Boyer was Vice President of Patient Care at Park Ridge Hospital, Rochester, NY; Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Blue Choice, a Rochester, NY BlueCross/BlueShield Health Maintenance Organization, and co-founder and CEO of HealthChex, Inc., a software company that developed and sold a severity adjusted cost and outcome product. The company was acquired by Equifax.

She is currently CEO of ShallB, Inc., a consulting company specializing in training nurse practitioners working in retail clinics. Board memberships include: Robert Wood Johnson Foundation advisory board, Adopt a Child - Lake County Florida, SCORE – Service Corps of Retired Executives – Lake County Florida, National Center for Homeopathy, Center for Entrepreneurialism – University of Rochester School of Nursing.

 

Kevin Anderson

Anthony L. Suchman, MD, MA, FACP

Anthony L. Suchman, MD, MA, FACP is a practicing physician and organizational consultant, and Clinical Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Rochester. His work draws together a diversity of interests and experience to focus on the process of partnership across all levels of healthcare.

Currently Dr. Suchman is working with clinicians, administrators and board members in health systems in the US and internationally to advance the practice of Relationship-Centered Care. He helped to found Leading Organizations to Health, a leadership institute on organizational change in healthcare and now leads the Healthcare Consultancy at McArdle Ramerman & Co. He helped to establish the Strong Health Managed Care Organization and was its first CEO and Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Suchman earned an MA degree in Organizational Change, studying with Ralph Stacey at the University of Hertfordshire’s Complexity and Management Centre, and for 8 years served as the Board chair of the American Academy on Communication in Healthcare.

 

Patrick Whalen

Bruce is responsible for the overall direction of The Corporate Benefits Group. He remains the health and welfare benefits specialist and works directly with many clients to develop and manage best solutions for their unique requirements.

A life long entrepreneur, Bruce owned and operated a food processing firm for 15 years prior to entering the benefits industry in 1989. That experience has proved invaluable working with and understanding the issues of closely held business owners.

Bruce graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in economics. He has earned the designations Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from the American College.
